Sara Frances Ellison Johnson, 78, of Easley, died Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Rainey Hospice House of Anderson, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers.
Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late John Dennis and Rosa Lee Lollis Ellison. She attended Pendleton Street Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Johnson loved spending time with her family, walking and working jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by two sons, James E. Johnson, Harold M. Johnson, both of Easley; five daughters, Mary O'Shields and husband Charles of Greenville, Shirley Smith, Linda A. Johnson, Nancy Nyman and husband Richard, Betty Moore, all of Easley; a brother, John Ellison, of Pelzer; six grandchildren, Michelle, Tim, Brandon, Hannah, Eric, Alex; and two great-grandchildren, Weston and Kylie. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Billy Stanton Johnson; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with Rev. Scott Crutchfield officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be prior to the service on Sunday from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of her daughter, 102 Foliage Court; Easley, SC 29642.
