Sara B. Kay - Greenville

Sara Bynum Kay, 85, of Greenville, wife of the late Harold B. Kay, went home to be home with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at Oakmont Living Center.

Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Carl Franklin and Willie Willimon Bynum, Mrs. Kay retired from Greenville County Schools and was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and was devoted to her family. Mrs. Kay always had a kind word and a smile for all who knew her. She loved the outdoors, growing flowers and tending to her beloved cats.

Surviving are three sons, Terry Kay, Harold Kay, Jr. both of Easley, and John D. Kay of Greenville; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kay was predeceased by a sister, Katherine Mitchell, and by a brother Frank Bynum.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with Rev. Earle Green officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
