Mrs. Sara Poole Lackey, 85, wife of the late John Leslie Lackey, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Arcadia, SC, a daughter of the late Grover P. and Grace Alexander Poole, Mrs. Poole was a homemaker and a member of New Image Outreach, where she was a charter member.
Surviving are two sons, Larry G. Lackey (Betty) of Piedmont, and Dennis B. Lackey of Easley; one sister, Ruth Simmons (Richard) of Utah; and two grandsons, J.R. and Ben Lackey. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Lackey was predeceased by a brother, Paul G. Poole; and a sister, Gladys P. Carter
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
Family members are at their respective homes.
