Mrs. Sara Tilson Rampey, 90, formerly of 105 Dogwood Lane and wife of the late Paul Spencer Rampey, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Baptist Easley Hospital.

Mrs. Rampey was born in Easley, a daughter of the late Noah H. and Eva Owens Tilson. She was a graduate of Easley High School and retired from Woodside Mill. She was a past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Chapter #200 and a life-long member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son, Dan H. Rampey (Carolyn) of Easley; one daughter Paula R. Gantt (Bennett) of Greenville; a son-in-law, Chris Nicholson, of Easley; grandchildren, Dawn R. Powell (Jonathan), of Easley, Kelli G. Frazier, of Simpsonville, Sara Nicholson, of Columbia and Bill Nicholson, of Ennis, Montana; a step-grandson, Joseph Greer, of Easley; great-grandchildren, Casey Frazier and Noah Frazier, both of Simpsonville and Isaiah Nicholson, of Easley; step-great-grandchildren, Tyler Brezeale and Cassie Brezeale, both of Easley.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Rampey Nicholson and a sister, Helen T. Marchbanks.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Reverend Barry Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service, at the church.

The family is at the home of Dan H. Rampey, 824 Pope Field Road, Easley.

Special thanks to the staff at Laurel Hill Nursing Center for the wonderful and loving care of our mother for the last two years and especially for the wonderful care in the last few days of her life. Also to the staff at Baptist Easley Hospital and Interim Hospice.
