Sara Frances Wehunt Tankersley

Sara Frances Wehunt Tankersley, 94, wife of the late Hoyt Clifton Tankersley, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020.
Born in Athens, GA, a daughter of the late Ralph Terry Wehunt and the late Katie Louise Bullock Wehunt, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing skip-bo, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Laurel Baptist Church in Greenville.
Surviving are a son, Cliff Tankersley, Jr. (Ann) of Mauldin; a daughter, Connie T. Hawkins (Rudy) of Anderson; sisters, Patsy Barczewski of Greenville and Barbara Ann Cassells of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Kevin Hawkins (Karen) of Powdersville, Scott Hawkins (Tonya) of Williamston, and Jeff Tankersley (Carrie) of Charlotte, NC,; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Billy Wehunt; and a sister, Mildred Seagraves.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pruitt Health Hospice, 1510 Fant Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Pruitt Health Hospice and Oakview Park Senior living for their outstanding care of Mrs. Tankersley.
