Sara Cook Threatt, 84, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 in Highlands, NC.
A Clemson native and longtime resident of Highlands, NC, Sara was the daughter of John Murphy and Elizabeth Holt Cook. She was a wholesaler with Waterford Crystal in Atlanta and then worked in the development office for 10 years in Highlands to help build the Highlands-Cashier Hospital. She was a lifelong fan of the Clemson Tigers and she attended the First Presbyterian Church in Highlands.
She was predeceased by her husband, Howard L. Threatt and her sister, Elisabeth J. Hodgson.
She is survived by her nephews, Robert Sax and Joseph Hodgson (Becky), niece, Sheri McCullough (David), grand-nephew, Noah, and grand-niece, Sarah.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Old Stone Church Cemetery in Clemson, SC and a memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Highlands, NC.
Memorial donations in memory of Sara may be made to: Cashiers Highlands Humane Society, PO Box 638, Cashiers, NC 28717.
