Sara Speake Weathers, 99, of Greenville, wife of the late George Weathers, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Westminster Retirement Center in Greenville.
Born in Laurens County, Mrs. Weathers was a daughter of the late George and Elliot Dobbins Speake. She was a homemaker and a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Greenville.
Surviving are a son Bert (Donna) Weathers; two sisters, Rebecca Speake and Francis McMeekin; two grandchildren, Courtney (Keith) Boling and Chase Weathers. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Weathers was predeceased by two daughters, Mary Kathryn Weathers and Sara Speake Weathers; two sisters, Mary Emma Motes and Lillian Holcombe; and one grandchild, Nicholas Albert Weathers.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Greenville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Michael Lutheran Church, 2617 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC 29605 or the charity of one's choice.
