Born in Griffin, GA, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Elizabeth Maddox Porter. Sarah was a cosmetologist and a member of First Baptist Church of Clemson.
Surviving are her son, Greg Barnes (Krista) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her daughter, Kelly McDavid (Robert) of Clemson; brothers, Paul Porter of Griffin, GA, David Porter of Griffin, GA and Harold Porter of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katherine McDavid and Dixon, Ainsley and Dorothy Barnes.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
The family respectfully requests that flowers be omitted and memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
