Sarah Tripp Brown, 82, of 703 Zion School Road and wife of the late James Brown, passed away Saturday October 20, 2012.

Mrs. Brown was born in Easley, a daughter of the late Harold B. and Dot Beatrice Smith Tripp. She worked for 25 years at Judson Mill and later retired from the Furman Plant of Woodside Mills.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and the W.M.U.

Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Putman (Robert), of Easley and Sue van Zeeland (Frans), of Summerfield, NC; two sisters, Mary Tripp Robinson (Wade), of Easley and Kitty Tripp Speed (Ed), of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Shawn White (and friend M.J. Glasby), of Easley, Jesse White (Jenn), of Joplin, Missouri, Mitchell Shipman, of Clemson, Frans van Zeeland and Micah van Zeeland, both of Summerfield, NC, Jennifer Windsor (Dominic), of Travelers Rest, Lori Norton (Ken), of Easley, Russ Bagwell (Paige), of Easley and Jay Bagwell (Angela), of Easley; 13 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Barry White, of Easley; a sister-in-law, Earline Tripp, of Easley; and a caregiver-companion, Pat Anthony.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Theodore "Ted" Eugene Shipman, Jr. and Jerry "Mitchell" Shipman, Sr.; a daughter, Nancy Lynn White; a brother, Harold Tripp and a special friend Jack Gilliland.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of Elizabeth and Robert Putman, 303 Goldenbranch Drive, Easley.
