Sarah Nalley Corn, 84, formerly of 1211 Ireland Road and widow of W. E. "Runt" Corn, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Cannon Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Olin Eugene and Hortense Durham Nalley, she was a retired employee with Swirl, Inc. of Easley and a member of Arial Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia C. Holcombe and husband, John Wayne of Chester; two sons, Calvin Corn and wife, Tina and Michael Corn and wife, Dianne all of Pickens; four brothers, Ford Nalley of Florence, W. T. Nalley and Haskell Nalley both of Pickens and Homer Nalley of Easley; a sister, Cornelia Bowen of Williamston; 8 grandchildren, Susan Hooper, Brad Holcombe, Michelle Porter, Wendy Deaton, Adam, Kristy, W.L. and Daniel Corn; and three great-grandsons, Chris and Cody Hooper and Hayden Porter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Olin E. and Ray E. Nalley.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Friday at Arial Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Parton officiating. Burial will follow in Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2 PM Friday.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the home of her brother, W. T. Nalley, 658 Pumpkintown Highway, Pickens, SC 29671.
