Sarah Elizabeth "Lib" Couch

Sarah Elizabeth Couch, known affectionately as "Lib", passed away at the family home place on September 17, 2023. 

Born in Liberty on April 28, 1933, she was a daughter of Columbus Loy and Cuzzie Ann Couch.

Lib attended Draughon's Business College, and later dedicated many years of her life to her career at South Carolina National Bank/Wachovia as a teller.

Outside of work, Lib had a variety of interests that brought joy to her life. She was an avid Clemson Football fan and took great pleasure in attending home games to cheer on her beloved team. Shopping was another favorite pastime of Lib's but, above all else, Lib cherished spending time with her family. She was a life long member of Rice's Creek Baptist Church. 

Lib is survived by her sisters; Mamie Talley (Joe), Bethal Couch, Vivian Jones and her husband Thomas, Brenda Baker (Tommy), as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who she loved as her very own. In addition to family, Lib leaves behind many cherished friends and co-workers.

In addition to her parents, Lib was preceded in death by her siblings; Adval Bates (Roy), Wayne Couch (Betty), Sandra Cope (Jimmy) and JoAnn Davis (Gene).

A visitation service to honor and remember Lib's life will be held on September 21, 2023 from 3:00 PM until 3:45 PM. The visitation will take place at Robinson Funeral Home Downtown located at 305 West Main Street, Easley, SC, 29641. 

A Funeral Service to honor Lib will be held after the visitation, Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 4:00PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, Easley. 

Burial will take place following the service at Rice's Creek Baptist Church, 504 Rice's Creek Church Rd, Liberty, SC 29657.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Crescent Hospice of Anderson, 305 W Beltline Blvd, Anderson, SC 29625.
