Sarah Howard Duncan Alexander

Sarah Howard Duncan Alexander, 99, wife of the late Alvin Ray Duncan, of Easley, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024.

Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late B.H. and Eunice Kay Howard.

Mrs. Alexander was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church where she attended the Joy Sunday School Class. Guided by her faith in the Lord, she loved her family and always put their needs before her own.

Mrs. Alexander is survived by sons, Ray Duncan (Sandra) of Easley and Steve Duncan (Hope) of Ocala, FL; a daughter, Sharon Tutt (John) of Easley; a sister, Mary Lockaby Edwards of Easley; a brother-in-law, Clyde Duncan (Gail) of East Ellijay, GA; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a special family member that was raised in the home, George Frady (Teresa).

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Rufus Edgar "Ed" Alexander; brothers, Frank and Billy Howard; and sisters, Betty Ann Creasy and Dorothy Fincham.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the funeral home.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Brushy Creek Baptist Church, the Joy Sunday School Class, and to the loving staff at Caris Hospice, NHC Healthcare-Greenville, and The Willows of Easley for their care of Mrs. Alexander.
