Mrs. Sarah Edna Price Marchbanks, 99, wife of the late David Dean Marchbanks, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, July 28, 2023.
Born in Oconee County, a daughter of the late Charlie Crayton Price and the late Margie May Fendley Price, Mrs. Marchbanks retired from Geer Memorial Baptist Church Child Care with thirty-five years of service and was also a long-time member of the church.
Edna was a life-time member of the Women's Eastern Star, and loved traveling and bowling, but her greatest love was for her family. She will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew her.
Surviving are her son, Tommy Clayton (Mercy) of Easley; her daughter, Trena C. Riska (Tony) of Keysville, GA; five grandchildren, Tina Carpenter, Cindy Kilgore, Scotty Mack, Amber Clayton, and Carlene Clayton; five step-grandchildren, Niki Carpenter, Stevie Carpenter, Brad Kilgore, Jenna Sandlin and David Marchbanks; five great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Marchbanks was predeceased by a step-son, Buddy Marchbanks; four brothers; one grandson, Chad Marchbanks; and one great-grandson, Tommy Williams.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
