Sarah Mae Floyd Gillespie, formerly of South B St., wife of the late Louis Earl Gillespie, went to be with her Lord Monday, December 16, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House.

Mrs. Gillespie was a homemaker and for thirty years she created beautiful wedding cakes for upstate brides. Her greatest joy was having her friends and family around the kitchen table. She was a member of Easley First Baptist Church for sixty two years and a member of the Philathea Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Gillespie is survived by her daughters, Ginny Lonergan (Lonnie) of Newnan, GA, Sara Jane Griffin (Ben) of Easley and Cindy Hayes (Randy) of Pickens; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband of sixty four years, she was predeceased by her daughter, Gwen King.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2013 in Robinson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. John Adams and Rev. Jack Mahaffey officiating.

The family is at 106 Canterbury Dr., Easley, SC.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Don Batson Library at East End Elementary School, 505 East Second St., Easley, SC. or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.

The family would like to express their apperception of the staff of the Willows of Easley, Majesty Health and Rehab and Hospice of the Upstate for their loving care.
