Sarah Elizabeth Harrison, 79, of 14 Fountainview Terrace, went to be with the Lord Wednesday October 14, 2009 at The Cascades at Verdae.
Mrs. Harrison was born in Jackson County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Okey Sanford Harrison and Alice Faber Harrison. She retired from the dental profession and was active in The Race For The Cure as she was a cancer survivor. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church where she displayed her talents as a tapestry seamstress and created banners for the sanctuary.
Surviving are her husband, Jack Martin Harrison, of the home ; two sons, Marty Harrison and his wife, Sally, of Greenville, SC and Ike Harrison and his wife, Melanie, of Ashburn, Virginia ; a brother, O.S. "Sant" Harrison and his wife, Gail, of Macon, Georgia and three grandchildren, Blake Harrison, Parker Harrison and Colt Harrison.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Saturday at Bethesda United Methodist Church with the Reverend Cy Rogers and the Reverend Mike Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, East.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm Friday at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC.
The Escort of Honor for the service will be the Irene Cely Sunday School Class.
The body will be placed in the church at 9:00 am Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, make memorials to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 16 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605.
