Sarah Shirley "Tish" Lander died Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Kyle and Ray Masters Shirley of Anderson County.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest M. Lander, Jr.; two daughters, Elizabeth Lander Purcell of Greenville, Caroline J. Lander of Takoma Park, Maryland; one granddaughter Connie M. Purcell of Greenville; a brother-in-law Thomas P. Baskin and a sister-in-law Margaret Lander Scheibler.
She was a graduate of Winthrop College and the School of Library Science at Chapel Hill, N.C. She was preceded in death by her sister Martha Shirley Baskin.
It was the request of the deceased that there be no services, flowers, or memorials. She will be privately interred at Cemetery Hill in Clemson.
