Sarah Pilgrim Mahaffey, 64, of 6014 White Horse Rd., wife of Winfred James Mahaffey of the home, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 at her home following a lengthy illness.
Born March 21, 1947 in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Wesley Pilgrim, Sr. and Elizabeth Franks Pilgrim. She was a homemaker and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Charlene Mahaffey Derrick (Bill) of Easley, Shirley Mahaffey Williams (Jason) of Greenville; sister, Frankie Parrish (Doug) of Greenville; brother, Charles Wesley Pilgrim, Jr. (Peggy) of Daytona Beach, FL.; grandchildren, Dylan Landrum, Caroline Williams, and Daniel Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, April 30, 2011 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland West Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
