Mrs. Sarah Gentry McQueen, 87, wife of the late Clement Edgar McQueen, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina.
Born in Easley, a daughter of the late Thomas Herbert and Rosalie Howard Gentry, Mrs. McQueen was a graduate of Easley High School, retired from C&S Bank and was a member of Easley Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are one son, Tom McQueen (Cathy) of Irmo; one daughter, Sandra McQueen of Smyrna, GA.; one brother, Rev. Foster Gentry of Pickens; one sister, Helen Corn of Easley; two grandsons, Ed McQueen (Rhonda),Josh McQueen and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McQueen was predeceased by a daughter, Meredith M. Holder and three brothers, David, Frank and Howard Gentry.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Family members are at their respective homes.
