Sarah Alma Whitlock Perry

Sarah Alma Whitlock Perry, 96, of Liberty, wife of the late Thomas Stewart Perry, passed away May 17, 2023.

Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late James and Emma Gillespie Whitlock. She worked as a packager for Martin Sausage and was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church and Flat Rock Baptist Church. She loved the Lord our God, writing poetry, her family, cooking, and gardening. Mrs. Perry will be remembered for caring for others and her generous spirit in giving to others more than she had.

She is survived by her children, Timothy Mark Perry and Angela Marie Vaughn; brother, Harold Whitlock. Mrs. Perry is also survived by 9 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Sarah was predeceased by her husband, parents, sons, Michael Perry, Ronald Perry, and Aarron Perry; brothers, Ernest Whitlock, Ervin Whitlock, and Johnny Whitlock; sisters, Marie Gillespie, Ruth Martin, Elizabeth Martin, Estelle Ellenburg, and Evelyn McAlister.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
