Sarah Elizabeth Phillips

Sarah Elizabeth Phillips, 33, of Powdersville, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at her home surrounded by family. 

Born in Greenville County, South Carolina, the daughter of Michael Phillips and Kathy Merritt Phillips, Sarah's presence in this world brought light and joy to those around her. Her journey began at Wren High School, where she excelled academically and shone brightly as a spirited cheerleader, both with the school and competitively with the Wren Youth Association. Described as having a BIG personality, Sarah's magnetic aura drew people towards her effortlessly. She possessed a heart so generous that she would selflessly offer help without hesitation - a true embodiment of kindness and compassion. Known for her gift of gab, Sarah's words had the power to uplift spirits and bring smiles to faces. Among her many passions, writing and poetry held a special place in Sarah's heart. The beauty of expression through words resonated deeply within her creative soul. Sarah was not just a friend; she was a devoted mother who poured endless love and care into her children. Her maternal instinct was a testament to the unconditional love she had within her. Sarah attended Tremont Church of God.

In addition to her parents, Sarah is survived by her two daughters, Lillien Grace Phillips (17), and Kennedy Parker Rose Phillips (8); a brother, Justin Phillips (Cammy); maternal grandfather, Harold G. Merritt; paternal grandparents, Charles and Lane Phillips; and two nieces, Valkyrie Phillips and Victoria Phillips. 

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mildred Merritt. 

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 4:30 PM until 5:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 6:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel.
