Mrs. Saundra Gale Norris Gibson, 67, wife of Jimmy Lee Gibson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, March 4, 2012.
Born in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Rev. Edwin J. and Sara Campbell Norris, Mrs. Gibson was a Teacher's Assistant at Hagood Elementary School and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home, are a son, Jeff Gibson (Dana) of Liberty; two daughters, Sherry Burris (John) of Piedmont and Diane Bailey (Brian) of Japan; one brother, Aaron Norris (Willette) of Simpsonville; one sister, Edwina Ervin (Gary) of Travelers Rest; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. David Gallamore and Chaplain Brian Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from noon until 1:45 p.m. Friday prior to the service, at the church.
The family is at the home.
