Mr. Seth Lyman Eckard, 81, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Manna Health and Rehab.

Seth was born in Pomaria, SC on January 27, 1934 to the late Rev. Glenn and Ruby Sandel Eckard. He graduated Furman University, majoring in finance. During college, Seth enjoyed acting in the play "Unto These Hills" in Cherokee, NC. He retired from General Electric's finance department in the 90's. Mr. Eckard was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean War.

Seth is survived by a daughter; Bonny Ferguson (David), of Summerville, SC; a special companion and caregiver; Sandy Lamberson of Easley; seven grandchildren; Gwen, Paul, Seth, Cody, Angel, Hunter, Morgan; two daughters-in-law; Tanya and Beth; a brother, Glenn Eckard of Oak Harbor, WA; and a sister, Elaine Cloud of Eugene, OR.

In addition to his parents, Seth was preceded in death by two sons; Theron and Jeffrey Eckard.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at St. Matthias Lutheran Church in Easley. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 9:45 AM Tuesday at the church, prior to the service.

Flowers are optional, or the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Matthias Lutheran Church,501 Powdersville Rd, Easley, SC 29642; ARK Hospice, 101 Grace Dr, Easley, SC 29640; or to Manna Health and Rehab, 716 E Cedar Rock St, Pickens, SC 29671.
