Sharon Phillips Gryn, 65, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
Born in Asheville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Charles and June Phillips. Sharon never met a stranger no matter where she went. She was an avid traveler and loved her dogs. Above all, she adored her children and grandchildren. She graduated from Easley High School and later earned a bachelor's degree from Southern Wesleyn University. She was an active member at Glenwood Baptist Church as she kept the nursery and sang in the choir. Sharon was an accomplished flute player, having played in the Easley High School Marching Band, at church, as well as in the Easley Community Band.
Sharon worked in the medical field as a Respiratory Therapist for 45 years. After retiring as a Respiratory Therapist, her diligent nature led her to work at Trader Joe’s as well as helping with property maintenance at Generations Group Home. She deeply loved those she worked with over the years, as she considered her teammates at Mary Black, Trader Joes, and at Generations as her family.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son Jason Hunsucker (Jennifer); a daughter, Margo Hudgins (Jon); two brothers, Steve Phillips (Jody) and Kevin Phillips (Donna) and three grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, and Josie Hunsucker.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:45 PM on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Glenwood Baptist Church. A celebration of life will follow at 3:00 PM in the Church Sanctuary.
