Mrs. Shelby Burgess Jones, 76, of 100 Ellison Circle, Easley, loving wife of the late William S. Jones, Jr., passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.


Shelby was born in Pickens County on September 9, 1939 to the late Elige Fulton and Larecker Reynolds Burgess, Mrs. Jones retired from Bellsouth as a Manager, then Retired from Taco Bell as a Store Manager. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.


Shelby is survived by a son; Bill Jones (Karen) of Easley; a daughter; Shannon Tettemmer (Jack) of Liberty; a brother; Robert "Bob" Burgess (Jean) of Easley; and a sister; Martha Burgess Gravley (Mac) of Liberty. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Lisa Smith (Jason), Chelsea James, William Jones (Elizabeth), and Kristie James; and seven great-grandchildren; Jade Smith-Hendricks, Rain Smith, Dylan Smith, Brayden Smith, Haley James, Adam Gossett, and Baby Pfeiffer.


In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother; Charles Burgess; and a sister; Barbara Sue Burgess Elrod.


Memorial services will beheld at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, 305 W. Main Street, Easley, SC 29640.


The family will receive friends prior to the service at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:30 PM until 3:45 PM.


The family is at the residence.
