Sherry Annette Bynum Bishop, 57, of 7845 White Horse Road, wife of Max E. Bishop, died Saturday, August 16, 2008, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville, Mrs. Bishop was the daughter of the late Evelyn Harrison Bynum. She graduated from Dacusville High School in 1968, attended Anderson College, and graduated from Furman University. Mrs. Bishop was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and a former teacher at Washington Avenue Christian School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Tim Bishop and his fiancee' Jessica Lowe of Greenville and a brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Mary Bynum of Easley.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday, August 18, 2008, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Members of the Sanctuary Sunday School Class as well as her Dacusville High School Class of 1968 will serve as Honorary Escorts.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 17, 2008 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, Easley.
The family extends a special thanks to all the doctors and nurses that have rendered service and compassion for 26 years during Sherry's illness.
