Shirley A. Bowling, 84, of Easley, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville, South Carolina.

Born on June 17, 1941, in Greenville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Thomas James Boiter and the late Sybil Lucille Jones Boiter.

She dedicated herself as a packaging systems operator with 3M Greenville, her career reflecting the diligence and resolve that defined her character. She embraced the virtues of hard work and perseverance with unwavering determination. Following retirement, she enjoyed and took great pride in her home and flower gardening. She was blessed to have beaten cancer on three different occasions, and a warrior until the very end during her fourth and final battle of the past two-and-a-half years.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Donna Capps (Jeff); her sister, Kathy Wyatt (Charles); her grandson, Christopher Capps (Jennifer); her granddaughter, Ashley Johnson; and several adoring great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Boiter, and a sister, Linda Gilstrap.

Her passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of all who knew her, yet her legacy of love and dedication endures through her family and the countless lives she touched.

The family extends its deepest gratitude for the compassion, dedication, and exceptional care shown to Shirley throughout her long illness. We sincerely thank Dr. Larry Puls and the staff at Prisma Cancer Institute- Faris Road and Easley, Interim Home Health, Via Health Partners, the Prisma Health Palliative Care and hospice team, and McCall Hospice House. Each of you have been a true blessing.

A private graveside service will be held at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road.
