Shirley Burgess Bruce, 63, of 302 Clemson Avenue, passed away Thursday February 2, 2012.
Mrs. Bruce was born in Greenville County, a daughter of Frances Duckworth Burgess Tompkins, of Greenville and the late Clyde Burgess. She retired as a department manager at Kmart and was a member of Trinity Way Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Ray Bruce, of the home; a son, Ronnie Bruce and his wife, Missy, of Greenville; a daughter, Tracey Rhodes and her husband, Steve, of Greenville; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, with the Reverend Dennis Holtzclaw and the Reverend Clyde Mabry officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, West.
Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
