Shirley "Dobbie" Mae Chapman

February 1, 1941 — March 11, 2024

Pelzer, South Carolina

Shirley “Dobbie” Mae Chapman, of Walhalla, South Carolina passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, with her family by her side.

 

Ms. Dobbie, as she was affectionately known, was born in Pickens, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Fred H. Chapman and the late Grace B. Dodgens Chapman. She was also preceded in death by ten of her siblings.

 

Ms. Dobbie was a very independent lady that placed God first and family second. She was steadfast in her faith and was of the Holiness faith.  She was a member of Jesus Revival Center Church. She was faithful to follow Evangelist Brother David Terrell Ministries. She enjoyed exercising, walking, and jumping rope. Ms. Dobbie was a very loving and caring lady. She was like a second mother to her nieces and nephews. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed by all.

 

Left to cherish her many memories are her brother, Will Chapman and his wife Ann; numerous nieces and nephews. Also, several great nieces and nephews also survive.

 

The family will receive friends between 1:30 – 2:45 PM Friday, March 15, 2024, at Robinson Funeral Home – 1425 Powdersville Rd, Easley, SC 29642. The funeral service to celebrate Ms. Dobbie’s life will be held at 3:00 PM following the visitation with Sister Gloria Gillespie officiating.

 

Active Pallbearers during the service will be Mark Chapman, Gregory Chapman, Trey Gibson, Braxton Ricketts, Peanut Chapman, and Randy Porter.

 

Ms. Dobbie’s life had a great impact on everybody that had the pleasure to meet her, and her memories will live for years to come in the hearts of everyone that loved her.
