Shirley Rodgers Garrison, 76, of Mauldin, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
Born in Greenville County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Rodgers and Evelyn Fowler. Shirley graduated from Hillcrest High School and went on to have a fulfilling career at Sealed Air in Simpsonville. Shirley was renowned for her loving nature, embodying the roles of mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with an unwavering commitment to putting others first. Her family described her as a beacon of love and support, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a word of encouragement. Known affectionately as Nana, she took great joy in spending time with her family, particularly indulging in the simple pleasures of thrifting and visiting yard sales with her daughter. Beyond her devotion to her family, Shirley had a profound appreciation for the beauty of nature. She cherished her trips to Charleston in the springtime to witness the flowers in bloom, enjoyed the warm sands of the beach during summer months, and looked forward to autumn trips to the mountains to admire the vibrant foliage.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Catoe (Eddie); a brother, Bill Rodgers (Nancy); three grandchildren, Shelby Nix (Hunter), Bailey Catoe (Katlyn), and Tyler Catoe (Scarlett); and a great-grandson, Remington.
