Shirley Rae McRitchie, born on August 2,1943, in Bedford, Ohio to the late Leroy and Margaret Ridgway, passed away peacefully at her home on September 25, 2024.

Shirley will be remembered for her love of homemaking and preparing loving meals. One of her most beloved traits was her excellent cooking, with her famous zucchini bread being a highlight for many family gatherings. She had a talent for making everyone feel welcome and cherished.

Shirley enjoyed various hobbies, including shopping, fishing and spending time on the lake, which brought her immense joy and relaxation. She also had a special fondness for casinos, and playing cards, especially “31”. Shirley was also a proud Tennessee Volunteer fan where she attended many sporting events.

Her proudest accomplishment was her family, which she held dear to her heart. Shirley's love and warmth will continue to shine in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Shirley is Survived by her husband of sixty years, Kenneth McRitchie; son, Todd McRitchie (Jill); daughters, Kathleen Coraspe (Arturo), Tracy Gulitz (Michael); grandchildren, Allie Carpenter (Robert), Chelsea Coraspe (Kurt), Tyler Colletti (Amanda), Audrie Cheek (Nathan), Aldon McRitchie, Mason Gulitz; great grandchildren, Winnie Cheek, Weslie Cheek, Emilia Carpenter; sisters in law, Virginia Ridgway, and Marilyn Ridgway.

In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by brothers, Don Ridgway, and Virgil Ridgway.

Shirley will be honored with a Celebration of Life in the spring of 2025 at Lake Norris, Tennessee.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
