Steve "Skeeter" Brooks

Steven Ray "Skeeter" Brooks, 65, of 2708 Pelzer Highway and husband of Linda Bagwell "Lulu" Brooks, passed away Sunday November 1, 2015.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of Margaret James Brooks of Pickens and the late Ray William Brooks.
Skeeter was an outdoors man who loved hunting, fishing, softball and storytelling. He loved his family, his friends and his Lord.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by children, Patti Rackley of Six Mile, T.J. Brooks-Watson of Easley and Cain Brooks of Easley; the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Jacob Rackley, Tanner Brooks, Bradley Brooks and Tucker Watson; two sisters, Gail Burrell of Pickens and Martha Wilson of Easley; four brothers, Mark Brooks (Debbie) of Liberty, Charles Brooks (Tammy) of Pickens, Jerry Hostetler (Sara) of Greenwood and Ricky Lusk of Pickens; and several nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
The family would like to thank Dr. Pat Lollis and his wife Nancy, Nurse Julia and the staff of Family Associates of Easley, Dr. "G" and the staff of Upstate Cardiology and Fred's Pharmacy of Easley for the excellent care given to Skeeter.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
Flowers will be accepted.
