Robert Verner "Skip" Garrick, Jr., 60, of Pope Field Road, went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 16, 2013 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Greenville, a son of Bertie Blackston Ware of Easley and the late Robert Verner "Bobby" Garrick, Sr., Skip was Assistant Director of Public Safety for the Governors School in Greenville and a member of Liberty Ministries International. He retired from the South Carolina National Guard after twenty years of service. Skip was a State Constable, and a police officer for seventeen years.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Loggins Garrick of the home; a son, Michael Garrick (Tonya) of Belton; two daughters, Kimberly Gilstrap (Sammy) of Pickens and Tonya Howard (Shane) of Easley; a sister, Regina Wilkes of Easley and nine grandchildren. In addition to his father, Skip was predeceased by a brother, Dan Ware.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:45 PM Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
