Stearl Bartges Moyer, 78, of 106 Boulder Ct., husband of Dallas Harpster Moyer, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at his home.
Born November 20, 1934 in Jersey Shore, PA, he was a son of the late Stearl Adam and Jenny Bartges Moyer. Mr. Moyer was a US Army veteran serving as a stevedore in Thule, Greenland. He was self-employed who loved fishing, model plane building, family and especially his loving wife "Cat". Mr. Moyer was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and was faithful in reading his Bible every day.
In addition to his wife of fifty six years, he is survived by his sons, Jeffery Moyer (Debbie), James Moyer and Joseph Moyer; daughter, Sheree Pearson (Donnie); sister, Jean Taras; and ten grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Alice Wedlake and his brother, Dean Moyer.
Memorial services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
