Stephen "Steve" James Horne

Mr. Stephen "Steve" James Horne, 78, husband of the late Joani Tara Horne, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025.

Born in Connecticut, a son of the late George Perly Horne and the late Edna Myrtle Adamson Horne, Mr. Horne was a retired Nuclear Quality Control Engineer and was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in the Vietnam War.

Steve was very outgoing and loved to meet new people. He was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need and adored his family. He will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew him.

Surviving are his two daughters, Angela Allen (Mark) of Central, and Wendy McClellan (Hugh) of Easley; his brother, Daniel Horne of Connecticut; his nieces, Elizabeth Michelle Horne Exias and Tamar Marie Dupre'; his grandchildren, Zachary Allen (Cayla), Stephanie Thompson and Chad Stone (Marie); and his great- grandchildren, Abel Allen, Allie Allen, McKenzie Stone and William Stone. In addition to his wife and parents, Steve was predeceased by a grandson, Cory Stone.

The family will host a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
