Carroll Steven "Steve" Blackwell, 56, resident of 617 Robert P. Jeanes Road, husband of Cheryl Zurface Blackwell, died May 25, 2011 from injuries sustained in vehicle accident.
Born in Greenwood, SC, February 6, 1955, he was the son of Carroll H. and Evelyn Childres Blackwell. Mr. Blackwell was a graduate of Greenwood High School, attended the University of South Carolina and a graduate of Piedmont Technical College. He was employed by K&K Robotics at the BMW Plant in Greer.
Mr. Blackwell was a member of Coronaca Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and parents of Greenwood are a brother, Neil Blackwell and wife Donna of Anderson; a niece, Savannah B. Campbell and husband Will of Greenwood and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Garrison officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Davis, Britt Blackwell, Chesley Blackwell, Childres Buchanan, A.C. "Bubba" Fennell and Perry Gregory.
The family is at the home of his parents, 1222 Highway 246 North in Greenwood, and will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Downtown in Easley from 5:00 to 7:00 Saturday evening and at Blyth Funeral Home from 2:00 to 3:00 Sunday afternoon.
Memorials may be made to Coronaca Baptist Church, 300 Highway 246 North, Greenwood, SC 29649 or to a charity of one's choice.
