Steven Canfield Blackburn, 59, of Easley, SC, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022.
Born in New Orleans, LA, a son of the late John Gill Blackburn and the late Shirley Bradford Blackburn.
Steve Blackburn is a native of New Orleans, LA and grew up in the Low Country of SC. He attended Macedonia High School
and graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He worked for Clemson University as a
database administrator for over thirty years. He studied a variety of martial arts over the course of forty years and is a master instructor (shihan)
with a rank of sixth degree black belt in Mukashi Kindai Ryu martial arts. He also served as the designated heir (soke-dai) of MKR.
He possessed a private pilot's license as well. Deacon Steve became a member of All Saint's Anglican Church in 2011and was ordained a deacon
on December 5, 2020, at All Saints' Anglican Church by the Right Reverend Alphonza Gadsden, Bishop Ordinary. He is loved by his family, friends,
colleagues and will be greatly missed.
Surviving is his brother, John Blackburn of Mooresville, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at All Saint's Anglican Church, 3601 Old Buncombe Road, Greenville, SC 29617
