Steven J. "Pepi" Miesbauer
Clemson, SC

Steven Jeffrey Miesbauer, 60, of 105 Santee Trail and husband of Vicki Farris Miesbauer died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Steve was a son of the late Rudy Edward and Joyce Burkholz Miesbauer. He attended Clemson and worked as a chemist with C.H. Patrick Company of Greenville. He was an Eagle Scout, a life-long Green Bay Packers fan, a fearless skier and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Central.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Mark J. Miesbauer (Kristin) of Clemson and Jeffrey H. Miesbauer (Katie) of Salt Lake City, Utah; sister, Alison M. Plemmons of Winona, Minnesota; and two grandchildren, Kaylee and Allie Miesbauer.

It??s rare for someone to live so brightly, so lovingly, and with such an explosively contagious personality. Steve was more than just a splash of color in everyone??s life. He was the blinding grand finale of a legendary Miesbauer firework display. He was a perfect, snowy day in the mountains and a rowdy après ski session afterward. He was a touchdown pass, as seen from the 50-yard line at Lambeau Field. He was so many things to so many people, here??s a few more:

Great father, husband and friend
Grandfather extraordinaire
Alta skier (and honorary ski bum)
Green Bay Packers stockholder and devoted Packer Backer
Brats, cheddarwurst, beerwurst (all the wursts) on the Webber grill (charcoal only!)
Cold beer in the fridge and/or cooler (always ready for a thirsty friend)
Loud music from a tube amplifier and meticulously cared-for turntable
Cannonball king
Hopeless romantic
Savior of toads
Zuba pant enthusiast
Baron of backyard barrel rolling
High score holder on the Missile Command game in the back of Sloan Street Tap Room
High-speed driver (with no appreciation for policemen with poor traffic directing skills)
Mad scientist (the chemist thing was just a cover-up)
Bottle rocket sniper
The terror of the neighborhood on Halloween (chainsaws, swinging from trees, mutilated prosthetic limbs)
Tailgate tent master
Super Bowl Party Meister
Chattooga River tubing guide (while it was legal...and maybe why it??s illegal)
Backyard Project Engineer/fort builder (safety procedures not required)
Loyal Oyster Party Participant
Tag Team Thursday night Video poker partner
The Risk king
The great Monaco mischief-maker!
