Stiles (Bud) Holladay, 94, of 500 Smith Memorial Hwy., Central, SC, died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at his home.

Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late King Frederick Holladay and Alice Hunnicutt Holladay. Mr. Holladay was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Elrod Holladay and son S. Allen Holladay. Mr. Holladay was a farmer, a builder and retired from Clemson University Forestry Dept. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he was a former Treasurer and served in other capacities. Stiles is most fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.

He is survived by two daughters, Sara (Troy) Porter of Central, SC and Earline (Peck) Jackson of Gilbert, SC; two sons, Barry (Kimberly) Holladay of Central, SC and Dean Holladay of Six Mile; a daughter-in-law Gloria J. Holladay of Norris, SC. Also surviving are two sisters, Christine H. Hayes of Fairview, NC and Aileen H. Holden of Clemson, SC. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, his wife of 49 years and a son, Mr. Holladay was predeceased by three brothers, Reece, David, and Roddie Holladay; and two sisters, Selma Smith and Drucilla Owen.

Visitation will be at 6pm-8pm, Tuesday, at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Brooks and Reverend Bob Dickard officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body will be placed in the church at 10am Wednesday.
