Weston Stuart Pace, 69, of 1008 McAlister Road, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at McCall Hospice House.

Born in Pickens, Mr. Pace was the son of the late Weston Hiott Pace and the late Mary Stewart Pace Blackston. A 1958 graduate of Easley High School, Mr. Pace was a four year letterman in football; most valuable player in 1956 and 1957; and inducted into the Easley Athletic Hall of Fame. He attended the University of South Carolina and Greenville Technical College. From 1961-1968, Captain Pace was in the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam and, he was presented with the Purple Heart, AIR Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.

Mr. Pace was President and owner of Pace Labels since 1973. He was a member of Easley Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife, June Faulkner Pace of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gretchen and Martin Keene of Greenville; Sonja and Mike Lowery of Easley; three grandchildren, Pace Lowery, Maggie Lowery, and Perrin Keene.

Mr. Pace was predeceased by his step-father, Colie B. Blackston; and a brother Jerry Blackston.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with the Reverend Christie Gravely officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made VistaCare Hospice, 15 Brendan Way, Suite 100, Greenville, SC 29615.

The family is at the home of Sonja and Mike Lowery, 101 Oakfield Avenue; Easley, SC 29640.
