Sue Nicholson Barkley
October 22, 1937 — July 12, 2016
Sue Nicholson Barkley, 78, of Easley, wife of the late James R. "Bobby" Barkley, passed peacefully Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Greenville Place.
Mrs. Barkley was born in Pickens County to the late Clyde William Nicholson and Burnice (Reid) Nicholson.
She attended Open Praise Fellowship in Easley.
In addition to her parents and loving husband of over 50 years, Mrs. Barkley was preceded in death by her daughter, Teressa Barkley Jenkins, and sister, Helen Pilgrim.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Johnny R. Barkley (Tammy) of Pickens; sister, Lois Smith of Pickens; grandsons, Matthew (Hannah) and Brian Barkley and Joshue Jenkins; great-grandchildren, JoAnna, Lydia and Josiah.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, July 14th at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, 305 W. Main Street, Easley with Rev. Roland Bearden and Rev. Doug Saylors officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 13th at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested directly to Lutheran Hospice, 429 N. Main Street, Suite #3, Greenville, SC 29601.
Family will be at Johnny and Tammy's home, 115 Shalimar Drive, Pickens, SC.
