Mattie Sue Jones Brewer, 87, formerly of South Second Street, wife of the late Elton "Peanut" Brewer, died Monday, October 12, 2009, at Oakmont West Nursing Center.
Born in Barrow County, GA, a daughter of the late Weldon and Lela Walls Jones, Mrs. Brewer was a homemaker and a member of Marathon Community Church.
Surviving are two sons, Bobby Brewer of Easley, and Mike Brewer of Liberty; four daughters, Linda Moore, Janie Clark, Carol Barbare and Susan Brewer, all of Easley; a brother, Jake Jones of Statham, GA; a sisters, and Faye Walker of Toppenish, WA; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brewer was predeceased by a son, Randy Brewer, by a daughter, Pat Stokes and a sister, Frances Barr.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Bob Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of Bobby and Diana Brewer, 1002 North Fish Trap Road, Easley, SC 29640.
