Norma Sue Nelson Cash, 91, of Ivydale Drive, died peacefully Friday, October 16, 2009, at her home.
Born April 5, 1918 in Putney, West Virginia, Mrs. Cash was a daughter of the late Jake Nelson and Virgie Nelson Proctor. She was a fifty-year member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church where she belonged to the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her husband of fifty-six years, Ray Cash of the home; two sons, Jimmy Harless (Carol Ann) of Easley and Johnny Cash (Susan) of Greenville; four grandchildren, Steve Harless, Randy Harless, Kristen Cash Pittman, and Courtney Cash Driggers; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and five brothers.
Funeral services to honor the life of Sue Cash will be held at noon Monday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown Easley with the Reverend Neil Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 AM to noon Monday prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Piedmont Park Baptist Church, 801 Piedmont Park Road; Greenville, SC 29609.
The family is at the home of a son, Johnny Cash, 11 Overlook Court, Greenville, SC 29609.
