Sue Watson Hayes

Sue Watson Hayes, 89, wife of the late William D. "Bill" Hayes and daughter of the late Floyd C. Watson and the late Inez Holliday Watson, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021.
She was a loving mother, a special loving sister, and grandmother who enjoyed reading, being active with her church family and friends, and spending time with family.
Sue was a nurse and one of the last groups of nurses to work at Greenville General Hospital. After Greenville General Hospital closed, she became a home health nurse for Greenville County Health Department. She retired after thirty years of service. She really enjoyed traveling and meeting families as a home health nurse. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her sister, friends, and nursing colleagues.
She was member of Easlan Baptist Church in Greenville.
Surviving are sons, David Hayes, Jr. of Easley and Steven Hayes (Cathy) of Anderson; a sister, Pat Garren (Jack) of Liberty; and great-grandchildren, McKinlee and Will.
A private memorial service will be held at Robinson Memorial Gardens Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.
