Carolyn Sue Hartman Shealy, 60, of 818 Old Dacusville Road, went to be with the Lord Friday January 18, 2008 at her home.
Mrs. Shealy was born in Roanoke, Virginia and was a daughter of the late Elbert and Sarah McNeil Hartman. She earned her Masters Degree from Furman University and was a teacher at Holmes Bible College in Greenville since 1974. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Steve E. Shealy, of the home ; a daughter, Nancy Grace Shealy, of Greenville ; brothers, Joe Hartman, Tommy Hartman and Sam Hartman, all of Roanoke, Virginia and David Hartman, of Winston-Salem, NC ; sisters, Beverly Akin, of Gainesville, GA, Nancy Johnson, of Roanoke, VA, and Sara Jane Jernigan, of Bedford, VA.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 pm Sunday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Reverend Paul Turner and the Reverend Dr. Richard Waters officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:30 pm Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown and also from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm Sunday at the church.
