Sula Bea Chastain O�??Shields

Mrs. Sula Bea Chastain O�??Shields, 100, of the Dacusville Community, wife of the late Oscar Jackson O�??Shields, passed away Wednesday morning, February 22, 2012 at her home.
Born December 30, 1911 in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Bertha Masters Chastain. Mrs. O'Shields lived most of her married life in the Dacusville Community and was a homemaker. She was the oldest living member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Allison and Brenda Alverson of Dacusville and Judy Chapman of Easley; sons, Carmon O�??Shields, Jerry O�??Shields of Easley, Clyde O�??Shields of Dacusville, brothers, A.C. Chastain of Greenville, Artis and Garvin Chastain of Marietta, and Carlee Chastain of Easley; twenty-three grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sons, Ronald, Kenneth, Bruce, Cecil and Tommy Ray O�??Shields; grandchildren, Trent Mauldin and Brenda Lee Alverson; brothers, Clenith, Quentin, Claude and Fletcher Chastain; and sister, Eula Chastain O�??Shields.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, February 24, 2012 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Shawn O�??Shields, Rev. Paul Turner and Rev. Alvin O�??Shields officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at 549 Cherokee Trail, Easley, SC.
Escort of honor will be her Sunday School Class, the Nancy King Class.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tommy, Jeff, Ricky, Alton, Bill, and Don O�??Shields, Steve and Ken Alverson.
