Susan Kay Napier, 49, of 508 Plantation Road, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at her home.
Born in Macon, GA, she was a daughter of the late Milford and Victoria Amanda Sluder Napier. She formerly worked as a child care director and was a member of Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church in Central. Miss Napier was a member of Central Heritage Society and was a volunteer at the Sterling House in Central. Susan loved spending time with her animals and taking care of others. She loved gardening, reading, and preparing delectable baked goods for family and friends.
Surviving are two brothers, Bruce Edgar Napier of Tampa, FL, Mark Anthony Napier of Pelion, SC; a sister, Gail N. Harper of Seneca; 2 nephews and 5 nieces.
A memorial service will be 2 PM Friday in Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Church with Reverend Nellie Cloninger officiating.
Visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 12:45 PM until 1:45 PM on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sterling House of Central; 131 Vickery Drive; Central, SC 29630 or to the Humane Society; Dept. GAIT04; 2100 L Street, NW; Washington, DC 20037.
