Susan E Propes

Susan Elaine Propes went home to Jesus on Good Friday, April 15, 2022. Born in Greenville she is the daughter of Martin Landreth and Carol Crawford and the loving wife of Michael Propes.

Susan was an extraordinary woman, who always put God first. She enjoyed long car rides, beach trips, gospel music, and her loving family. Susan’s prayer was to leave this Earth on a Gorgeous sunny day, and God answered that prayer. Some of her many talents included Art, Fixing Hair, Nails, and Makeup. Susan’s favorite season was fall, she loved the beautiful trees and cool weather, she would sit out on the porch and listen to the birds sing while enjoying the fresh air, silence, and stillness of God’s Creation. Susan was a highly intelligent woman who taught Sunday school and worked at the hospital. Susan was often referred to as “Doctor Susie” for taking care of her family when they were sick, even if she was sick. She enjoyed being with those she loved and reminiscing about good times. Susan wanted everyone to do good in life and to find Jesus no matter who they were. Susan was a very humble person who was filled with love. Susan had a strong faith and a strong relationship with God, you would often find her reading his word, she was strong on following his commandments and honored her parents. 

In addition to her parents and her husband of 34 years she is survived by a son; Blake Propes, two daughters; Brooke Propes and Amy Propes, a brother; Andrew Landreth, two sisters; Sherry Crawford and Charlene Landreth, also survived by a stepdad; Steve Crawford, Aunt; Patsy Stewart, and her pet Neo, all to share and rejoice in her memory.  

A visitation will be held from 3:30 pm until 4:15 pm Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Easley, South Carolina. Service will follow at 4:30 pm in the Church Sanctuary. The burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley, South Carolina.
