Mrs. Sybil Phillips Esuary, 65, wife of Samuel Eugene Esuary, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Baptist Easley Hospital.

Born in Pickens County, the daughter of the late Marvin Edgar and Lois Roberts Phillips, Mrs. Esuary was a homemaker and had a passion for crafts and crocheting. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church where she was an active member of the Senior Saints Sunday School Class.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of fourty-seven years, are one son, Michael Esuary (Wendy) of Piedmont; two daughters, Beverly Bilyeu (Tim) of Pelzer, and Britany Esuary of Easley; three brothers, Leonard Phillips of Hendersonville, NC. and Walter and Wallace Phillips, both of Pickens; four grandchildren, Amanda Esuary Owens (Jeff), Corey, Emily and Caleb Esuary; and one great-grandchild, Ansley Mae Owens . In addition to her parents, Mrs. Esuary was predeceased by a brother, Charles Edward Phillips.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Lakeview Baptist Church, Pickens with Rev. Michael Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in Pickens View Wesleyan Church Cemetery.

Escorts of honor will be the Senior Saints Sunday School Class of Lakeview Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
