Syble Carolyn Martin Lackey

Syble Carolyn Martin Lackey, 87, of Central, wife of the late John Frank Lackey, passed away September 19, 2023.

Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Capers and Irene Pinion Martin. Syble was a proud member of Central Independent Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing. She loved working in her yard with her flowers and watching football games with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Ann Lackey and Amanda Lynn Lackey, both of Central.

Syble was predeceased by her husband, parents, and siblings, Fred Martin, Melvin Martin, Capers Hathal Martin, Jr., Tommy Martin, Eunice Burkett, Gladys Palmer Herron, Lillian Dobson, and Dorothy Ann Martin.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens.
