Syble Stephens Shelton, 91, wife of the late John T. Shelton, passed away March 18, 2023.

Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Selda Gantt Stephens. She attended Dacusville High School, and had worked as a Dietary Food manager at Oakmont Nursing Center. She attended Jones Hill Church of God. 

Mrs. Syble was feisty, sweet, determined, and absolutely loved people. She loved the Atlanta Braves, had played basketball while she was in high school, crocheted, and loved to do crossword puzzles. She loved the out doors, going to the beach, fishing, and cooking.  

Mrs. Syble is survived by her daughters, Connie Emory (Steve) of Dacusville, and Kathy Cisson (Barry) of Greenville; grandchildren, Kelli Lollis, Justin Emory (Amanda), Kasey Wilson,  and Shelton Cisson (Mackenzie); and great-grandchildren, Karsen Lollis, Daisy Emory, Cam Wilson, Kolbi Wilson, and Covington Cisson.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Syble was proceeded in death by a grandson-in-law Tommy Wilson; sisters Lavada Holloway and Louise Talley; and brothers Don and Bill Stephens

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, Easley. 

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 12:30 Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
